Some places
are planned.
Others quietly
find us.
Casa da Luz was born from a shared way of seeing the world. We met on the other side of the globe, in a place where nature, slow living, beauty and simplicity invited people to pause and be fully present.
"Finding Luz de Tavira was never part of the plan. It happened quietly, almost by serendipity."
We fell in love with the unique energy of this place: the untouched nature of the Ria Formosa, the stillness, the light, and the old trains passing slowly through the landscape — gently reminding us of life's transience, its constant movement.
Today, Casa da Luz is cared for by Alexandra Vinagre, a professional coach and author whose work explores presence, clarity and personal transformation, and Alberto Garcia, an architect with a deep sensitivity for spaces that invite calm, beauty and connection with nature.
Together with their son, they live on the property — slowly shaping Casa da Luz as a place rooted in simplicity, nature and a quieter rhythm of living. Sharing this place with others is their way of giving something back.
